IBA / Olympic recognition

Recognition conditions, arbitration, and boxing’s later Olympic pathway.

What the record says

CAS concluded that three IOC recognition conditions remained unmet as of the 2023 decision: finances, judging/refereeing integrity, and governance reform. World Boxing later received provisional recognition, while boxing was included at LA28.

Read this carefully. CAS upheld the IOC withdrawal of IBA recognition. IBA rejected the decision and cited reforms.
