Follow the claim.
Keep the outcome.
We start with a public allegation or a documented decision, then trace the matter through each forum. Every published case says what its sources establish and what they do not.
Allegation
We identify who made the claim, when, what evidence they cited, and how the subject responded. Filing a charge does not prove it.
Finding
We identify the investigator, court, or regulator, its mandate, the exact subjects and rule, and any appeal. An institutional finding does not automatically implicate every employee.
Settlement
We describe the agreement and claims it resolved. A settlement is not a merits judgment unless the record says so.
Acquittal and reversal
These outcomes lead the current-status line, even when older allegations remain part of the history. We distinguish criminal, civil, ethics, and league forums.
Connections are evidence too
Sport can be tied to state and business actors through ownership, funding, sponsorship, or hosting. We document the precise connection and the separate evidence for conduct outside sport. A partnership alone does not make a league, club, or athlete responsible for a partner's alleged abuse. A path through shared organizations or a common critic is a navigation aid, not evidence that its endpoints coordinated or share legal responsibility.
How often is this updated?
The research is scanned weekly. Public pages change after a source and status review; the latest research scan is not an automatic publication. Every case displays its last-reviewed date. If a case lacks a current docket check, we say so.
Police reports and allegations
Filing a report may carry penalties for a knowingly false statement in the relevant jurisdiction, but it does not establish that the reported conduct occurred. We identify the reporter, exact claim, corroboration, response, investigation and outcome before drawing a conclusion.
Corrections
Decisions, charges, and sources can change. A correction should update the case state and retain the prior dated account in the editorial record. For a correction or source that changes a published case, contact the publisher through darkrogue.io.
